the two fish

the two fish

I have been thinking about the symbol of Pisces recently, two fish tied together with a string. It's one of the more difficult zodiac symbols for me to understand. It reminds me of Gemini, the other mutable sign. But where Gemini is an air sign, talkative, constantly doing two or more things at once, Pisces is the water sign, perhaps deep inside you yet somehow able to retreat to their own secret garden.

I know the Pisces well. I have had a Pisces progressed ascendant for nearly 20 years. This has enabled me to explore the Piscean world. And now my progressed ascendant is at 29 degrees (the critical degree) & moving towards Aries this December. This past year has been marked by much confusion, spiritual bliss, artistic endeavors, & just a general good feeling towards human kind.

29 degrees is called a critical degree, because the sign is about to change. Everything that has been worked on up to this point is highlighted, all that hasn't been dealt with is felt deeply.

But the Aries traits have also started to become apparent. I've ditched most of my friends & started walking my own road. I've begun to spend a lot of time in the gym. And I feel restless. People are saying, "you are so selfish!" I'm just doing what I want. Perhaps the two fish are swimming away as I write this. It was an interesting journey & I'm ready for something new.

My chart

This is my chart. I've been studying it now for so long now. Recently I learned about 9 persona charts, how the Sun chart is a reflection of the ego, & each persona chart is a reflection of a planet's "soul"?

If you see something interesting in my chart, please tell me. My chart ruler is Uranus, in the 8th house. I have been using Placidus & find it more useful than equal houses.

I have two stelliums in Scorpio, one in the 9th & one in the 10th. I also have numerous T-Squares including the Part of Fortune.

I find this amusing, but according to Astrodienst, the Pullen software, I'm 17.3% Pluto & 30.3% Scorpio.

The Anti-Neptune

Last night I finished "The Sea God" after three days. It came to me in a flash. The Trident. But when I was making the head, suddenly horns appeared & it looked more like a "Sea Devil" instead. I contemplated calling it the anti-Neptune. But wouldn't that be derogatory? There is not one without the other. So I believe they are one & the same. Good & bad.

Some positive qualities of Neptune? Imaginative. Breaks boundaries. Spiritual. The negative? Deceptive. Addictive. Unrealistic.

Neptune tears away the structures that Saturn creates so that we can be reborn through Pluto. It is through fog, that we become lost, only to discover new things.

Introduction

Hi, I just started this blog about my artwork.

It's just a hobby but I've been doing it off & on since 1996, making abstract drawings in notebooks. I'm planning to continue making these & learn along the way.

I'm originally from the US but now live in Japan.

This pic is my first self-portrait haha. Guess my sign?

I'm also going to talk about one of my other interests, Astrology.

And will post some random writings & stuff.
